SALARY: $16.60 per hour
JOB TYPE: Full-Time/Non-Exempt/Permanent/Weekend/Rotating Shifts

JOB OVERVIEW:

Provides supervision of the residents in the Transitional Home. Substance Abuse Technicians will provide a safe, trauma informed, supportive environment for all residents.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Works daily with residents to provide support, encouragement, and guidance.
Accurately report incidents or any behavior that includes significance on provided forms.
Assist and supervise clients with preparation of meals.
Assist clients with scheduling appointments, chores, community service and other activities.
Assist in the transportation of clients, adhering to all traffic and safety laws.
Communicate difficulties and/or concerns regarding client’s behaviors to the supervisor as appropriate.
Ensure shift chores are completed, especially the deep cleaning of the facility.
Conduct alcohol and drug screening in conjunction with visits and employment.
Conduct compliance room checks and inspect all incoming resident’s property.
Attend all mandatory training and staff meetings.
Adheres to NAADAC Code of Ethics, as well as the Wind River Family and Community Health Care and White Buffalo Recovery Center policies and procedures.
Completes paperwork requirements to maintain quality, up-to-date records, including progress notes and other relevant information, enter the necessary information into the electronic health record (EHR) system, ACCUCARE.
Other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the Department.


QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalency, prefer 1 year of experience working with substance abuse clients.
Must have 2 years of continuous sobriety from drugs and/or alcohol.
Basic knowledge of substance abuse and recovery.
Must have the ability to work in a variety of settings with culturally diverse families and communities, with the ability to be culturally sensitive and culturally appropriate.

Must possess a valid driver license and meet insurance standards and maintain insurability under WRFCHCs insurance program.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check under the Indian Child Protection Act and Family Act (P.L.101-630).
Current BLS Certification or must be able to obtain it within 60 days of hire.
