JOB OVERVIEW:

Under general supervision, performs journey level skilled repair and maintenance work in any of several trades such as plumbing, carpentry, painting, building maintenance, and appliance repair and maintenance; performs related work as assigned.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Receives and performs assignments and work orders as assigned by the Facility Manager.
Operates snow removal equipment to remove snow by plowing and/or salting and shoveling WRFCHC properties.
Perform routine maintenance on facility and equipment including plumbing, plastering, painting, electrical, carpentry, mechanical, etc.
Perform routine maintenance on grounds, parking areas, driveways, etc. by cutting, trimming, policing, sweeping, and otherwise instructed or directed.
Ensure functionality of all lights on property, inside and outside the facility.
Assure that work areas are clean, and that equipment, tools and supplies are properly stored away before leaving areas on break or at the end of workday.
Performs maintenance on equipment and systems as required.
Able to interpret and comprehend floor plans, blueprints, and technical manuals.
Follow established safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment.
Assists others in lifting heavy equipment, supplies, etc. as directed or requested.
Other duties as assigned are to maintain and enhance the operation of the department.


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Must be able to constantly lift-up to 50lbs, moving, and loading materials.
Must be able to grasp and assemble objects with 2 hands.
Full range of motion and ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time.


QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or GED.
Minimum of two years’ experience in maintenance and/or construction.
Must have general knowledge in the use of power and hand tools.
Facilitation skills to support and work cooperatively with physicians, staff, patients, and external parties.
Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively.
Must possess a valid driver license and be eligible for coverage under WRFCHC’s auto insurance policy.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check under the Indian Child Protection Act and Family Act (P.L.101-630).
