Provides standardized cleaning in exam rooms, offices, departments, and other ancillary areas of patient and general care.


Performs all assigned tasks in a professional manner to reflect the highest integrity of the department to ensure the continuity and efficiency of patient care and daily operations.
Performs routine cleaning of exam rooms, nursing stations, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, lounges, rest rooms, corridors, and stairways in a clean, neat, and sanitary manner.
Performs routine cleaning of high traffic areas of walls, cabinet surfaces, tables, stands and any other furniture and areas as directed.
Performs cleaning and maintenance of all floors: carpet, tile, brick, and concrete flooring.
Completes trash removal, biohazardous linens, and sharps container removal to appropriate disposal area.
Insures assigned areas are adequately stocked with cleaning supplies, paper products, and other essential items required to keep all areas functioning.
Utilizes the appropriate chemicals, supplies, and cleaning techniques according to procedure and manufacturers’ recommendation.
Assists visitors with directions whenever requested.
Is trained/cross trained in all areas of the facility to ensure ability to meet workload requirements when staffing shortages and/or vacations reduce staff levels.
Reports safety hazards as appropriate.
Replenishes supplies; notifies Infection Control Supervisor when supplies need to be ordered.
Follows all infection control practices including hand washing techniques, standard precautions, and isolation precautions.
Observes safety precautions at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned to maintain and enhance the operation of the program.


High School Diploma or GED.
Must possess a valid driver's license and be eligible for coverage under WRFCHC's auto insurance policy.
Must be able to pass a criminal background check under the Indian Child Protection Act and Family Act (P.L.101-630).
First Aid/AED/CPR within 60 days of hire.


Must be able to lift up to 50lbs.
Possible exposure to blood and/or body fluid/infectious disease/hazardous waste requiring the use of Personal Protective Equipment.
Indoor and outdoor, temperature ranges from moderate to extreme cold and heat.
Must be capable of critical thinking and be able to keep calm under high pressure situations.
